The use of the Projecting Adult Needs and Service Information System (PANSI) and the Projecting Older People Population Information System (POPPI) is subject to the following terms and conditions.

Use

POPPI and PANSI are intended for use by local authorities, the NHS and other bodies who need to be informed about trends in the population of adults aged 18 and over in England. They use Office of National Statistics (ONS) population projections and prevalence rates from existing published sources. The data they contain and the copying and printing services they offer are designed to help understanding of future demand for social care.

When using either the PANSI or POPPI material in any published work, reference must always be made to the relevant system and to the Institute of Public Care (IPC) and ONS as the source of the data. The licence to use either system does not extend to any third party use. Therefore, you may not, for the use by a third party, distribute, modify, copy, transmit, display, reuse, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, sell or otherwise use content without IPC's prior written permission.

Intellectual Property

The names, images and logos identifying PANSI and POPPI are proprietary marks of IPC. If you wish to use any of these logos, you must obtain prior approval from the copyright manager by contacting IPC via support@poppi.org.uk

The https://www.poppi.org.uk/ and https://www.pansi.org.uk/ websites and material relating to ONS information, products and services are provided 'as is', without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.

IPC does not warrant that the functions contained in the material contained in these sites will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that these sites or the server that makes them available are free of viruses or represent the full functionality, accuracy, reliability of the materials.

Primarily we collect this data to identify you in line with the usage policy above. We also collect information about how you use our website and the pages you access.

How will we use this information?

We collect and store information about you in order to administer your access and to contact you about updates to www.poppi.org.uk and www.pansi.org.uk, for marketing purposes or to target users based upon activity.

Update emails

Our update emails are distributed using a tool called MailChimp - part of a US based company.  Data stored on our behalf by MailChimp, which is held in the US, complies with the ‘EU Safe Harbor framework’ as set forth by the Department of Commerce, which ensures the practices of US companies comply with UK/EU data protection practices.  More information about MailChimp, the EU/Swiss Privacy Shield, and the GDPR: http://eepurl.com/c567FL. Personal details are not stored on the Mailchimp servers beyond the duration of an email campaign.

What is our legal basis for processing your personal data?

Data that you submit when registering here is retained for the duration of the POPPI and PANSI project, unless you request otherwise. We regularly suspend and delete inactive accounts based on returned email reports.

Personal data not otherwise described above will only be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected after which time it will be securely deleted.
